Luc Messinezis performing live his concrete music session Sonic Garbage at Implode Festival which took place the 25th of May 2013 at Khalkis City, Greece.

Sonic Garbage is a sound artwork which originally exists in both a “timeless” installation form and a narrative stereophonic version which is performed live and presented here.

The piece uses concrete sounds that occur during field recording processes and are usually edited out as unwanted artefacts. Messinezis uses these usually undesirable for the recording process sonorous objects and recycles them in order to create an aurally rich aesthetic environment articulating a wide array of emotional gestures.
